Mindset & Grit
Didn’t realized that there were many different mindsets out there in the world and that the type of mindset someone has influences that person’s lifestyle. I was I little surprise with my mindset, which was a fixed mindset with the way I adapt to my surroundings I thought that I would have a growth mindset, but I have come to terms with it. I think that the fixed mindset changes when people see that many things in life changes very often and order to keep up with them someone must change the way they think about things. Like for example in workplace you get to work with different people from different backgrounds and different walks of life. Whom all have a different way of thinking and to talk and co-operate with them you would need to adjust the way you think around them. The major difference between the growth and fixed mindset is by see how open one is to the changes around them. So, for my mindset and grit artifact I have a picture of a garden I as I see the way my mindset is that its is always growing and learning new things and that it isn’t afraid to adapt to its environment.
In my life I have notice that things are really not easy and people are going to make many mistakes in life and the true way to move forward in to not quit when you fail but when you pick yourself back up after that mistake a learn from it and mostly not let it get you down because then you don’t ever learn. In high school I when I was doing applied math I had a moment we I thought I could do it because I didn’t understand trig and I start stressing out because I knew that if I didn’t pass this course than I couldn’t make it in college. But instead of giving up I give myself a moment to relax then I tried to do my work again and I start to understand it bit by bit and then by the end of high trig was my favorite subject.
Grit develop resilience by teaching yourself that it is okay to fail and that it is even a very good thing because it gives you a chance to redo some thing and make it better than before. But basically, you don’t give up everything just because you failed once. People who have grit would be great in doing things like risk-taking and innovation because in those fields people fail so much but they don’t stop trying to succeed.
